Planning meeting numero uno
April 22nd, 2009 by Grace Tan. Posted in Behind the Scenes, Latest News |
Date: 19th April 2009, 8.30pm
Happening fellas present at Coffee Bean, Jaya33: Alex Lam, Grace Tan, Jon Low, Mark Leo, Zach Chin
- Much as Jon Low really wants LoveFest (for his own personal reasons), we decided to call it ShootFest.
- Different ShootFests could be themed differently, but the first one ever will be called ShootFest 001: The Wedding, and it will be primarily for photographers and videographers in the wedding industry.
- The date was originally set for the 13th and 14th of June, but it clashes with the Treasures of the Rainforest conference. We decided to have it on the 6th and 7th of June instead.
- Mark volunteered to help with the promotions part of the unconference (and clean-up committee), while Jon volunteered to do up the WordPress blog theme. Alex will register the domain, and install WP. Kee Sitt will be in charge of liaising with the videographers. Zach was volunteered to oversee the schedules and speakers.
- Grace will speak to Weng Yap about printing T-shirts.
- We agreed that more heads and hands are needed for the committee. Everyone is to source for more help.
- The whole unconference will also be a green one, meaning no paper/plastic cups etc.
Here’s a crappy photo taken by the security guard at Jaya33 that documents our first-ever meeting for ShootFest! (errr, iPhones don’t take overly happening photos!)

Hi Johan, yes, this is the shaky picture that was taken after the very first ShootFest planning meeting. The security guard dude was probably on drugs, and couldn’t hold still. Either that, or Jon Low was too lengchai for him.
