Guidelines for speakers

Bear in mind: A ShootFest is always about enriching each other, and not for personal gain alone.
If you wish to speak in a session, we thank you for doing so and spending time to prepare your content. However, please do abide by the following:
- Please do not overtly advertise your own products and services, this is not a time to market yourself, but rather the knowledge you have gained. You may introduce what you do and represent in your intro about yourself.
- Stick to the upper boundary for time, if you finish earlier, it’s fine. Everyone can spend some time to mingle. However, if your session will only be approx half an hour, let us know, so we can slot in another speaker in the same one-hour slot.
- If you have your own laptop, please make sure you bring any necessary dongles to connect your notebook to the projector (VGA port).
- A whiteboard will be provided, should you need.
- If you are not bringing a laptop, we will have laptops equipped with PowerPoint and Keynote, if you need any other software, do let us know in advance.
- Your slides will be placed on SlideShare so that others can download them. Please pass a copy to Zach Chin before you leave.
- Above all, keep it informal, have fun and don’t worry about making mistakes. You’re not the president of the United States (though I wish you were).
